Emilia Ruggeri is a Professor in History from the School of Humanities and Education Sciences of the National University of La Plata (Universidad Nacional de La Plata - UNLP) and she is currently carrying out a PhD in Social Sciences in the same institution. She has also done postgraduate studies in the Master of Science, Technology and Society of the National University of Quilmes (UNQ).
She is a doctoral fellow by the Commission of Scientific Research of the Buenos Aires Province (Comisión de Investigaciones Científicas de la Provincia de Buenos Aires - CICPBA), training researcher in the area of Social Studies of Technology and Innovation of the Institute of Studies about Science and Technology of the National University of Quilmes (Instituto de Estudios sobre la Ciencia y la Tecnología IESCT -UNQ). Her research topic is framed in the field of social studies of technology, particularly her studies are focused on the analysis of energy policies and the Argentinian electricity system.
She is a member of the research projects "Energy, Society and Development in Argentina (1991-2017)" and "Social Studies in Science, Technology, Innovation and Development" funded by the UNQ. She is also part of the PICT-ANPCyT project "Renewable Energy Technologies and dynamics of inclusive and sustainable development. A socio-technical analysis of public policies and institutional strategies for the development and implementation of Renewable Energy in Argentina".
Also, she has taught in the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of the UNLP.
