Guillermo Martín Santos is a researcher at the Institute of Science and Technology Studies (IESCT) of the National University of Quilmes (IESCT-UNQ, Argentina) and Doctor of Social and Human Sciences at the National University of Lujan (Argentine). He has a degree in Sociology (University of Buenos Aires), he is Professor of History of the Higher Institute of Teachers (ISP "Joaquín V. González") and has a Master in Social History.
His research areas include history and sociology of technology and innovation.
He is currently assistant professor in the Department of Social Sciences of the National University of Quilmes, professor of Social History of Science and Technology in the Master of Science, Technology and Society (National University of Quilmes - Argentine) and ordinary professor of Sociology at the National University of Luján. He has also served as professor of postgraduate courses at universities in several countries of America (Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales -FLACSO- of Ecuador). He is the academic coordinator of the Specialization in Management of Technology and Innovation (UNSAM) and the Diploma in Strategic Design of Technologies for Sustainable Inclusive Development (UNQ).
Participates in various research and extension projects with financing from Argentine and international institutions.
He has published studies on social history and sociology of technology in various national and international journals and has been a technical advisor in innovation and development for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). He is a developer of graphic content in the field of Social History for various public and private institutions in Argentina and is co-author of three books on Technology and Innovation.
